Our AML and Verification Commitment
Every account on our platform is subject to anti-money-laundering checks and identity verification. This page explains exactly what we do, why we do it and what we need from you.
Our Anti-Money-Laundering Policy
We operate under licence 8048/JAZ2020-13, issued by Antillephone N.V. in Curaçao, and we hold ourselves to the anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing obligations attached to that licence. Our compliance programme is risk-based: every account is assessed, transactions are screened, and anything that does not add up is escalated to our compliance team.
Our commitments to you are straightforward. We keep crime out of the platform, we protect honest players from being used as a conduit for illicit funds, and we report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities where the law requires it. These duties apply to every player without exception, and they cannot be waived by any member of our staff.
- Risk assessment of each account and each payment method
- Screening of players against sanctions and PEP lists
- Ongoing monitoring of deposits, bets and withdrawals
- Internal reporting of suspicious transactions to the authorities
When We Verify Your Identity
KYC triggers and required documents
Verification is not a one-off event. We verify you at registration through basic identity checks, again before your first withdrawal, and at any point where your cumulative deposits or withdrawals reach thresholds set by our internal risk policy. A random sample of accounts is also re-verified periodically to keep our records current.
Before your first withdrawal we need three things from you: a government-issued photo ID (passport, driver licence or national ID card), a proof of address dated within the last three months (utility bill or bank statement), and proof of ownership for the payment method you used, such as a card photo showing only the last four digits or a screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet address.
- Government photo ID: passport, driver licence or national ID card
- Proof of address: utility bill or bank statement, issued within 3 months
- Proof of payment method: card photo (last 4 digits visible), e-wallet screenshot or crypto wallet address
- Additional documents on request: source-of-funds evidence for large play
How Verification Works
The process is designed to take minutes of your effort, not hours. Documents go through the secure uploader in your account settings, never by email unless we explicitly instruct you otherwise. Our compliance officers review every submission manually, and most checks clear within 24 to 72 hours. If anything is unclear or rejected, we tell you exactly what needs fixing, so you are never left guessing.
Your documents are protected at every step. We store them on encrypted servers, restrict access to trained compliance staff only, and never share them with third parties except where disclosure is legally required for AML purposes.
- 1. Open the verification page in your account settings
- 2. Upload your photo ID and wait for the automatic quality check
- 3. Upload proof of address and proof of payment method
- 4. Our compliance team reviews the files, normally within 24-72 hours
- 5. You receive confirmation by email, or a request for clarification if something is missing
Why We Ask About Source of Funds
For most players, ID and address proof are all we ever need. Where deposits exceed levels set in our risk policy, or where the pattern of play looks unusual for the account profile, we may ask where the money comes from. This is not an accusation; it is a legal obligation under our licence and a check that protects the whole player community.
Acceptable evidence includes payslips, employment contracts, tax returns, audited company accounts, dividend or pension statements, or a solicitor's letter confirming an inheritance. The evidence must roughly match the level of deposits on the account, and we review it against your actual play history.
How We Monitor Transactions
Every deposit and withdrawal is screened against your account profile: size, frequency, payment method and overall behaviour. Withdrawals are paid to the same method you used to deposit wherever technically possible, which is the same-method rule that stops funds passing through your account on their way somewhere else. If your deposit method cannot receive withdrawals, such as Neosurf or CashtoCode, we pay out to an alternative verified method in your name.
Our limits are transparent: the minimum deposit and withdrawal are both 30 AUD, and the maximum withdrawal is 7,500 AUD per week. Crypto withdrawals are processed within 24 hours, and fiat withdrawals take 1 to 3 business days. We charge no fees on withdrawals, and large or unusual requests may take slightly longer while our compliance team completes enhanced checks.
| Check | What we look at |
|---|---|
| Deposits | Amount, method, frequency against account profile |
| Withdrawals | Same-method rule, verified ownership, weekly cap of 7,500 AUD |
| Patterns | Rapid deposit-withdraw cycles, third-party payments, sudden changes in behaviour |
What Happens If Verification Fails
If a document is unclear, expired or does not match your account details, we pause withdrawals on the account until the issue is resolved. You can keep playing with your existing balance, but no funds leave the account until we know exactly who we are paying. We always explain the reason and give you a chance to fix it.
Where verification is refused, where documents are not provided within the timeframe we specify, or where we have reasonable grounds to suspect money laundering or third-party use, we may suspend or close the account. Balances in a closed account are returned to a verified payment method in your own name, minus any amounts we are legally obliged to hold or report. Fraudulent accounts, including those opened with someone else's identity, are closed permanently and reported to the authorities.
How Long We Keep Your Documents
Under our licence obligations we retain verification records for a minimum of five years after the account relationship ends. Retention is not optional: regulators require us to be able to reconstruct any player's activity if an investigation is opened later. After the retention period expires, documents are securely destroyed and removed from our systems.
You may request deletion of marketing data at any time, but identity and transaction records must stay for the statutory period even if your account is closed. Our support team is available 24/7 via live chat and at [email protected] if you want to know what we hold about you.
Just Casino Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to verify my account before I can deposit?
No. You can register, deposit and play with basic checks, but full KYC verification is required before your first withdrawal.
How long does verification take at Just Casino?
Most submissions are reviewed within 24 to 72 hours. Clear, correctly cropped documents clear faster, so follow the upload guidelines in your account settings.
Why do I have to withdraw using the same method I deposited with?
The same-method rule ensures funds return to their verified source, which is a core anti-money-laundering requirement of our Curaçao licence. If your deposit method cannot receive payouts, we pay to another verified method in your name.
What happens if I refuse to provide source-of-funds documents?
Withdrawals stay on hold and continued play may be restricted until the request is resolved. Refusal on its own is not an accusation, but we cannot release large sums without the evidence our licence requires.
Are my ID documents safe with you?
Yes. Documents are stored on encrypted servers, accessible only to trained compliance staff, retained for the statutory period and then securely destroyed.
